I just recently found out that the notebooks I did were posted on Elle Magazine's official blog. The event was apparently a big hit and the notebooks I constructed by hand for the event were well received and even posted on the blog!

Been so busy this past 3 weeks! I'll update things as I get time to post them up and as my copyrights and all the legal stuff allows. I made these books by hand for an event in NY which happened last tuesday night. I didn't know they would appear on the blog of Elle Magazine jp. I'm glad the event went well and glad they liked my craftiness...

When life gets busy this blog seems to be one of the things to drop off my list early. But anyway i'm back now. I did some wedding invitations last month for some extra money. This is how they turned out. The clients were very happy, i'm glad and I wish them a very happy wedding and honeymoon.

I've been taking my time with these two. These are more an off and on project i've been working on in between my job search and money making freelance gigs. I feel in some ways that i'm still very attracted to the architectural side of my background. These are smaller versions than the full size for easy web viewing.

The watercolor stuff from mississippi is coming up sometime in July here, but honestly I have had so much to do since I got home that I haven't even unpacked yet.

Ok well here I am in Jackson and the library doesn't have scanners..... so I can't post any of the stuff i've done since i been here. So to entertain you temporarily while i find someone in this city with a scanner, here's a little furry fish since i've been doing a little bit of fishing. Forgot to actually post this a couple months ago.

Ok.... I really need to update this blog as i do stuff rather than accumulating a bunch of things and then just trying to dump it all into one post. I won't do that. I'll just do little updates and post things as the order they were finished...... backwards.

I recently did a small job designing logos for this auto company that operates out of Ontario CA.
I just did a bunch of different ones based on logo styles and colors commonly used in the logo for professional races and upper tier auto-body companies. Quite a bit of back and forth with the owner on which type she wanted to use.

These are pictures of a trip i took to a really secluded little known beach in Norwalk with my friends whose parents live in the area. The water is pretty clean, there's practically nobody there most days, the air is very clear being away from the city, and they have the best clam chowder bread bowl i've ever tasted. If you're ever in norwalk I recommend you stop by the beach and order some clam chowder to eat and take in the view.

The sand sculpting i did was a pitiful attempt to build an impression of one of my recent sketches in the sand, but the tide was coming in so fast I had to stop so I could at least get some pictures of the fun.

These are some sketches I did while waiting in this nasty room to get some paperwork signed from the county. You know the rooms i'm talking about. Old un-renovated public building made mostly of concrete with old dirty plastic seats inside, dirty walls, etc. There were about 30 people packed in the small waiting room and wouldn't you know even with my carefulness and my hand sanitizer in my pocket, I couldn't prevent from getting a cold.

When people around you are coughing and sneezing into the air it doesn't matter how clean you are. But anyway while i was in that pit of disgust i did these. Forgive the rant, but i'm very much a germaphobe and have been one my whole life. I can't stand when people spread their germs with complete disreguard for others.

Anyway these may go somewhere fun. I thought about making a sculpture of the starjack. My b-day is in less than 2 months and if i could have anything i would ask for a copy of Maya, but since that's far too expensive i'm going to have to hope for a ps3. I wanted to model the star in 3D and add a particle system. I'll have to use some other person's until then. The others i'll probably just paint, but an architectural model of the resort might be fun.

The above is a personal work of mine and I don't even know why I was compelled to do it. The furniture and lighting i'm going to design seperately. I don't know why I always return to furniture designing and architectural elements when i'm doing something for fun. I guess it's just in me. I have a few pieces of the furniture already drawn out and I will upload them as soon as I get a chance, but for now I sleep.

Ok so things have been going really crazy since my last entry here. Got laid off again because the company was downsizing so i'm back to looking again. Anyway In the meantime some freelance stuff i've been working on. Above is something freelance.

So after all these months I have finally come back to actually work on this blog. I should have something new all the time since i'm freelancing more these days (as opposed to not lancing at all).

There are ideas floating around about starting a clothing company (A friend and I starting off with initial investment possibly. I was just going through logo ideas. I don't know, stuff for me to consider should this thing actually get off the ground.

This is from a freelance job i worked on last month for a private client and hopefully it turns into something more, first have to see how the audience likes it. Its supposed to be kind of an elephant equivalent to Barney but with more edge to it. Not too much edge though, think of the children please....

There were also some more sketches i did during the design process of this character talking with the client about what she wanted. I've been messing around with those on free time and I may actually post a few up here. OH! i'll keep y'all posted on weather or not she needs more freelancers for other parts of her project (animation, script writing, etc.).
